About Gina Battye

Hi, I’m Gina Battye, Psychological Safety Institute Founder and CEO.

Having worked in frontline jobs in the probation service and education, I’ve experienced some of the toughest workplace cultures. Think stalking, homophobic bullying, gaslighting—the works. But after facing these challenges, I discovered my life’s mission: defending everyone’s right to feel safe at work. And I set about creating a global movement to transform workplace culture.

Today I’m a consultant for some of the world’s biggest companies, providing strategic insights, accessible training, and practical tools for holistic culture change—all underpinned by psychological safety. Because if your people don’t feel safe at work, you’re failing your teams and your business.

In 2024, I wrote my book The Authentic Organization: How to Create a Psychologically Safe Workplace. It outlines exactly how I drive change for global corporate clients and how you can do exactly the same for your business—no matter its type or size. And I’ve developed CPD-accredited training programs that empower individuals to transform organizations from the inside out.

Represented by major speaker bureaus, I regularly talk  about psychological safety, the Authentic Self, and LGBTQ+ inclusion at business events, on TV and in major publications. I also sit on the ITV News D&I Panel, contributing expertise for balanced reporting on all these issues.
